Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a session cost?

Sessions are $195 per 65 clinical minutes*

How long does a session last?

Each individual session is 65 minutes*, an additional 15 minutes beyond the commonly practiced traditional 50 minute clinical hour. Additional time has been shown to be beneficial (Cronin et al., 2014; De Geest & Meganck, 2019 ; Stige et al., 2021); however, if you find that the extended time is too fatiguing or too difficult to maintain attention, we can assess and adjust accordingly.

How many sessions will I need?

The duration of therapy is individual and varies based on your therapeutic goals and clinical needs. Some people experience and prefer a shorter duration (6-8 weeks), others might necessitate 10 or 12 months, and then others may continue therapy for longer or as needed.

What form of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, debit card as well as Venmo.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not currently accept insurance. However, I will gladly provide a superbill upon request for insurance reimbursement purposes.

What is an Intensive?

A counseling intensive involves a concentrated amount of therapy over a shorter duration of time. For example, multiple hours in a day or over several days or sessions.

Intensives are customized to meet your needs and fees vary. A typical one day intensive (2.5/3 hours in the morning + 2.5/3 hours in the afternoon) is $1250 on average and includes pre-work and post-assessments and follow-up.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation is requested within 24 hours of your appointment or full payment is expected. Understandably, everyone has days or times when something comes up unexpectedly. In those circumstances, please let me know as soon as possible.

What are fees for special education services and advocacy?

Special Education advocacy and consultation are pro bono services I provide at no charge, but that do have contractual agreement regarding ethics and availability.
